Former SMASHING PUMPKINS star BILLY CORGAN wowed fans at a hometown
show in Chicago, Illinois, last night (19APR04) when he unveiled a series of
new songs.
The rocker stepped up on stage at the city's METRO club to perform a
string of solo tunes dating back to the tumultuous final days of the mashing
Pumpkins.
He told fans, "This music seemed to be an escape from everything that was going on at the time. It's been a real honour and pleasure to play these
songs for the first time in public."
The acoustic one-man show was filmed for a future DVD release.
