Recorded in New York City, the band spent time with former Smashing Pumpkins leader Billy Corgan, who also co-wrote three of the 11 new songs. According to the band members, Corgan encouraged them to think outside the box and push themselves creatively. Burnley, a long-time fan of Corgan and the Pumpkins, says trying to impress Corgan with his own song-writing is what made him work tirelessly to construct something special and different. All the new tracks are more melodic and carefully constructed. You can hear the differences on songs like "Follow," "Forget It," "Simple Design" and the new radio hit "So Cold." Another Corgan suggestion, most of the new material is also challenging to Burnley vocally.
