What will it take to make the reunion a good thing?

A "hit-worthy" album and lots of radio play
A "take no prisoners" return-to-form rock album
Another progressive art-piece
A kick ass tour... album not necessary
Billy and Jimmy is enough
James
Without the original 4, its not the Pumpkins
If Billy's playing Silverfuck, I don't care
Nothing... it's horrible any way you slice it

Jimmy Journal Entry. Sept 10th
News Articlesmikem52 writes "September 10th, 2004

Hello again friends and musical do-gooders. It's been a while since we last spoke and I have to apologize for my tardiness. I have been incredibly busy becoming a citizen of the great state, (state?) of California, as in state of mind. It seems to be a state of mind (a very slow one compared to the midwest). Anyway I am here and I love it. Sun, Sun, and Sun and hot, and more Sun. As compared to rain.......And hot.......And snow.....And cold. (More...)

Anyway, in the world of The Complex things are moving ahead once again. Things got bogged down a bit during the move (which I will tell you about at the end of this) but are now moving how I like them to move, quickly. For me the less time I have to think about something the better. Heart over brain I say! The CD was mastered last week by Don Tyler over at Precision Mastering, he did a great job and I am amazed at how good (and loud!) everything sounds. In case you don't know, mastering is where they take the finished mixes and even up the levels of the songs so they are all the same volume. They also put the space between the songs according to what the artist wants. Then they put a little equalization on the tracks to make them all warm and fuzzy and hopefully, sonically pleasing to us, the listeners. So there you have it, mastering in a nutshell! (I said you might learn something!) So, today I sent the Masters to Sanctuary and we are now off to the races as we say. I am flying to New York next week to play the cd for everybody and to talk "game plan". The Artwork is just about done and I am very happy with that, too. I can't wait to get this thing out to everyone. I hate waiting around. It never ceases to amaze me that it takes less time to record a cd than it does to get it to the people. Does that make any sense? I am looking forward to the day when I can stop telling you about the record and you can start telling me about the record. As it sits right now I am looking at a mid-Nov. release date.

I am also considering releasing a DVD of some in-studio action along with the first few copies of the record. I had my good friend (and future movie director) Forrest Borrie on hand during the recording and he got a lot of good stuff, (performances, brainstorming, arguing, eating, etc.) on film. I think it's cool to see people creating art. If nothing else you will get to see and hear our terrible hygiene, filthy mouths, and bad fashion. Just kidding. (actually Mohler is a pretty snappy dresser!) So that's about it. I am going to put up a message board for everyone since the amount of hits are going through the roof. I think it will be a good place for me to see where everyone’s head is at. Soon you will also be able to e-mail The Complex at thecomplex@jimmychamberlin.com
